last time my issue was resolved. If it isn't within a few days - I'm jut uninstalling Opera.
I'm tired of this shitty practice of forcefully updating to new versions that take out old features and replace them with worse ones

@leocg That should make me feel better about the new bulky, ugly and unweildy interface?
Or what? -
[Solved]Return extention sidebar or rework the main oneOpera for Windows
So, you new Opera 66 has a "feature" added. That removes the old extension secondary sidebat, and instead puts your extentions to the main sidebar.
This probably sounded soooo so good to your designers, right?
Wrong.I have bookmarks open 100% of the time on my sidebar. Before, I had this small little secondary bar, and it was perfect.
Now?
If I want to have them constantly open, I have to use the main one. Only, Oh joy! It takes up way mode screen space for absolutely Nothing.- It's minimum width is locked for some reason, and it's too wide. I can't make it more narrow.
- It takes up the entire vertical screen space when pinned. This means less space for tabs and everything else - all of this gets shifted to the right.
- if it's not pinned, it covers over UI elements.
Frankly, this change is absolute garbage. Whoever designed this was probably proud of themselves. Well, you shouldn't be. You've made it Way worse.
And the best thing? I can't even roll back to older version of opera, because it auto-updates! If I turn off auro-updates, it stops loading certain websited like twitch or gmail.
This is another great feature! Just screw those users who disable autoupdates - they souldn't be able to use browser if they do so!TLDR:
- Return the old secondary sidebar option that doesn't take up the entire height of the screen.
- Make your "new feature" adjustable. It's Garbage.

Opera changing UI languageOpera for Windows
Hello.
I live in Russia. But I still prefer to consume content and use my products in Englisn.
I run Windows, and the system locale is set to English. I set Opera's locale to English. I even delete Russian language from the list of suggested languages. It's no use. Every time I log in to my PC in the morning - Opera is helpfully switched to Russian.
Because, clearly, it must think that I am stupid, and I didn't mean to switch it to English the day before, and because my region is Russia - then I clearly want to see Russian.Thank You.
Now, how do I turn this annoying feature off and make it so my browser is in English and stays in English?

Extensions Sidebar in browser option disappearedOpera for Windows
Awhile ago opera changed sidebar to take full height of the window.
I don't like it.
Thankfully, there was an option in the hidden settings to make it back the way it was - i.e. appear under menu and not to the side of it.
opera://flags/#sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebarWith the latest update, the option is gone. WTF? WHY? Why would you limit options like that?
Is there a way to once again make it like it was? I hate the new style!!! -
RE: Extensions Sidebar in browser option disappearedOpera for Windows
@leocg sorry for lashing out at you like that, I'm just very tired of Opera ruining the things I like every few months with no option to opt out of those updates.

RE: Extensions Sidebar in browser option disappearedOpera for Windows
@naheed Yeah, great advice, especially if I still want to display bookmarks on the side and Opera made sure to make this possible Only through the sidebar. Which they then made unusable.
Genious! -
RE: Extensions Sidebar in browser option disappearedOpera for Windows
Anyway, I'm just done with this browser and its delusional team that doesn't know how to design an interface. Moved to Vivaldi, set it up in 15 minutes and am happy with it. Bonus points - it doesn't even autoupdate, because it doesn't take itself so all-important as Opera does.
