I wonder if you can do these things:

1. Change recently closed button icon back to how it was. This magnifying glass is confusing.
2. Disable/delete or permanently colaps the list of openned tabs. I really dont know how this feature is usefull rather then interfering.
3. Permanently open full list of recently closed tabs. Why it is colapsed anyway?
4. Make recently closed tabs list longer and/or adjustable. Sometimes even 25 tabs is not enough and searching in history is pain in the ass.
5. Have recently closed tabs in order how they was closed and not in some random unknown order. It is RNG or something? I really dont get it why?!
6. Have the list of recently closed tabs right under the recently closed tabs button and not in middle of the screen and almost like fullscreen. If you really need that feature then swinging mouse from button to middle of the screen and again and again make no sence if you just can have it right under the button

Number 2 and 5 is very important and number 3 will be very helpfull. Everything else will be very nice but nut really nice to have.

I just have a question about tabs stacking feature. Is this feature burried for good? Or will be this feature added some time in future? It was very usefull feature for managing lots of tabs and very unique so its something for Opera's image I gues or not?

Can someone explain me what is that sync all about? 2 PCs and 1 phone and sync is not working on all of them. Why is there that sync feature if its not syncing anything? All I can see is tabs on devices what is really useless feature but no speed dial sync no bookmarks sync no settings sync no extensions sync no theme sync...

Synchronization is quite useless if you cant sync between devices. Whats the point of synchronization this way?

I wonder if developers even know that Opera have its own forum where users write things about their software. Can at least some of them write someething and make a statement about this feature because lots of users are not happy about this changes and want back the old feature.

@treego I just wonder. Can you explain us at least one valid reason why do you need searching feature in openned tabs instead of just look at them?
I dont know but I really dont need to search through something that I already see.

Can I just ask how do you know that people are fine with that changes? As you can see there are lots of people complaining about it that its not ok. There was more but you closed that thread for some reason.
So how do you know? You have some data from developers or some survey or something like that?

@leocg Maybe it is solution but think about it from the other end. I will give you example. If you are hungry and I will give you poisoned food will you accept it as solution to your hunger? Its just matter of perspective. Technically it is solution but on what cost?

@andrew84 Well I still dont get it why lots of developers do this kind of things. Broke something up on purpose, upset lots od users and then they will fixing it for months until it is usable again but with less convenient result then was before.

How to add private tab in new Opera?

I wonder why developers have so much opposition to way how was the tab stacks done with old Presto core. What is the poin just do it differently and make lots of issues in process? Just make it same and wrap it around new GUI design. Why do you have to invent the wheel again?
All these issues will be gone simple by make it like (or at least similar) as old Presto:

• Moving tabs in/out of stacks
• Moving whole stacks
• Non-intuitive collapse/expand stacks by different buttons and possition due to changing size of stack
• Hard to recognize stacks and what is inside due to just simple color bar
• Complicated stack creation without automatic system and lots of unwanted stack without it
• Some wired stack behavior randomly moving (and blocking) around the tabs bar

@reitei17 So if I suggest that stacks should have same size as normal tabs it is too big but normal tab even with same size are ok size?
Are talking about same thing because this is so confusing.

Of course I mean the same thing but this could be problematic (in tab organization ways) and I would make it ate least optional. It saves some space for sure but also thin line is useless when you search some tab or want to make some overview about your tabs. So have some tab with icon and short description makes much easier to remember what is inside and easier to track your tabs and stacks.

@reitei17 Space will be as big as normal tab. I worder if you ever saw or use that old tab stacking design.

As you can see if there is no active tab inside collapsed stack then whole stack will collapse to only tiny color bar. I wonder how can you not know that.

@leocg I will add some video of how it is really working but this pictures are photoshoped by me what I would expect or how I would make/like it. As you can seethere is always stack symbol at the right side of the tab no matter if it collapsed/expanded or active/inactive
That is first picture

And the second one show how would I distinguis stacks from each other and standalone tabs by slightli coloring them for example by color of that stack bar from left of tab stack.

Also you can see the stack should be always size of regular tab and never collapse as small color bar. This have some issue because remembering stacks by just colors is not good by by web icon and description is quite easy and you dont have to expand it just to look at first site.
In my opinion just small bar can save some space but for cost of ergonomics and much more mouse clicks.

I am not a fan of that color bar but whatever it is just waste of space. Also this whole tab menu shloud have at least more contrast so you can better see what is single tab, what is stacked tab(s) and when it starting and ending.

@airforce25228 It seems that if there tabs on the right of the island, only the colored bar will be visible when you collapse the island. However if there is no tabs on the right, the last active tab of the island will be visible when you collapse the tab island.

Don't know if it's an intentional behavior or if it is a bug.

This collapse issue to tiny bar is not afected by position of tabs as you can see here there is no tabs on the right and still only tiny bar:

Also like you can see it is not that easy to optically separate different stacks from each other and also from normal tabs. There should be something like thin line around the stack (no matter if its collapsend or expanded) that highlight what is stacked together and maybe standalone tabs could have some neutral color like gray or something. This is not all about some design but also about clarity.
