Yes. Opera has stopped working for me as well, as of this morning 5/21/2019. I have tried restarting my PC and also uninstalling/reinstalling Opera. Still have the same issue.

I setup the POP3 service (instead of IMAP).

w00t!! Way awesomely kewl! I got ti to work! My Hotmail is now accessible via Opera Mail.

Doh.....nope; turning off the two-step verification did not help.

The frustrating part is that I was able to create accounts for my gmail address and a couple others.......it's jsut my Hotmail.com that is giving issues.....

OK; I have already verified that my hotmail.com (live.com) does have POP3 enabled. I even disabled it and then re-enabled it, just to be sure.

So, if I am understanding your directions correctly, you are suggesting I install a /2nd/ Opera Mail desktop app? Would the first one allow that?

I have tested, deactivating the email scanner of my anti-virus system. Nothing changed.

and how do I check if POP3 is enabled at Outlook.com? And would that affect my Hotmail.com inbox??

I have already ownloaded and installed the Opera Mail installer. That is what I have been working with all this time.....

OK; for some reason, the POP3 method is not recognizing/accepting my password.....and the IMAP method authenticates but still does not pull email from my Hotmail inbox.....

what am I doing wrong??

If I am setting up the POP3 style (/not/ IMAP), do I still need to go into that 'Mail' folder?
