We're a few days further since I dove into Opera 29 and I can only honestly say that I still enjoy my experience. I'm even warming up to the start-up screen!

There is however one thing which makes no sense to me:

To me it would have made a lot more sense if I got all my sub folders listed in there instead of the "My Folders". Because all this approach does is make the "unsorted bookmarks" a lot more appealing. For the simple reason that they're more accessible.

Less effort = better access.

Combine these! For example with a divider. Everything on top is "sorted" and below "unsorted". Or better yet: list all "sorted items" in the main folder (but then I would like to be allowed access to storing direct links too) and everything else in a folder "Unsorted bookmarks".

The current approach makes the sorted bookmarks less accessible than the sorted ones, and I don't think that was intended.

BUT.. as always this is obviously just my 2 cents here.

Why? Because unsorted bookmarks are, at least for me, bookmarks that haven't been sorted yet. They should only be there a short time so the user later either can finish the "task" and delete the bookmark, or save it in another folder. They should be first so every time the user opens the menu, the user should go trough them and hopefully do something with them.
