I re-installed it and the problem was there after I did however, after shutdown for the night and re-start in the morning the problem<br />
disappeared which leads me to conclude that I should have shut down and re-started after the fresh install of Opera which I did not do. All that is irrelevant now unless someone else has the same problem then they might be well advised to re-start after upgrade or download. Thanks again.</p>

Thanks for responding gustavwiz and in answer to your questions environment is xfce4, the distro is Linux Lite by Jerry Benzcon at the moment and I<br />
assume by version version you mean the distro it was upgraded from 2.0 to 2.4 the Opera version is the latest<br />
for Linux.</p>
