<![CDATA[Extension download error]]>Since leaving Opera 12, when attempting to add any of several extensions, a message reports "An error occurred when installing the extension: Download interrupted." Is it likely that Norton Internet Security is interrupting the download? If so, how can Norton be configured to allow these extensions? I've tried, but can't figure out how. TIA!

Since you suspect that it may be at fault. I know that F-Secure’s AV product can cause problems like this with downloads in Steam and Opera.

  1. Go to opera://flags/#addons-detailed-errors
  2. Enable 'Detailed error information on the addons website' flag
  3. Restart Opera
  4. Try to download extension again

You can also try Opera Developer[2] which has an experimental workaround for a problem with saving extension downloads.
