Updated from Opera 12 to Opera 29 - few questions

So I finally took the plunge and updated from presto as Opera 12 has become almost unusable. The last time I updated (I think it was Opera 16 at the time) it was horrid and I went back to presto almost immediately. I'm glad to see the newer one has most of the 'presto' features retained - I just have a few questions:
Why doesn't 29 'replace' 12, i.e. I have both 12 and 29 installed now? O29 is installed in program files (x86) - is it a 32 bit or 64 bit (I had the 64 bit O12) and how do I get the 64bit version if not?
How do I use password manager? There is no key button and ctrl-enter doesn't seem to work??
How do I get the context menu on double click? Progress bar inside address bar?Any help gratefully appreciated!

Also - speed dial isn't very pretty - is there a way to get it more similar to the older versions where I saw previews of the sites? And got everything on the one page without having to scroll down??

Why doesn't 29 'replace' 12
Because they are completly different products, based on different engines and with different features.
I have both 12 and 29 installed now?
Yes.
O29 is installed in program files (x86) - is it a 32 bit or 64 bit (I had the 64 bit O12) and how do I get the 64bit version if not?
It's 32 bits, there is no 64 bits version for Windows atm.
How do I use password manager?
Just go to a login page.
How do I get the context menu on double click? Progress bar inside address bar?
There are no such things in Opera Blink. Don't know if there is an extension that could provide that.
Also - speed dial isn't very pretty - is there a way to get it more similar to the older versions where I saw previews of the sites?
You can open the page, click on the heart button and choose the picture you want.
still can't configure speed dial so everything is on the one page
You can set the maximum number of columns in settings but how many you will get depends on your screen size.

thanks for your help with that - I'm getting used to 29 now but the not being able to get a context menu on double click is really infuriating

On the speed dial, the Opera 29 version has a huge advantage over that in Opera 12. You can create folders of bookmark positions. Just drag one speed dial bookmark over another, and create a folder. Then you can add more to the folder the same way, by dragging the additional bookmark to the folder. Thus in the new speed dial, you can have a lot more bookmarks ready for easy access. Now to make the speed dial more attractive when you use themes/wallpaper. Just right click on an empty space on the dial and choose, change theme. Then you can select from Opera themes. You can also add your own. Any time you're on a website with an attractive jpg, right click on it, and chose to add it to your themes. Or open any jpg on you computer in Opera and right click on it, to add it as a theme.
