<![CDATA[Android latest version: Opera hangs right after start]]>Hello

Last  week I have  opened a Facebook  web linkm it  added  a new tab  in  opera  (my default browser) and opera  crashed  while  loading. Since  then opera always  crashes when  starting it.

is  there a way  to make  opera  close/forget  all  or  at least  the  last added  tab(s). I do  not  want  to  reinstall  because  I would loose quick  links  and stored login  data. Is there  by  the way  a  way  to  backup  those  setting to  have  it again after  reinstall?

basically crashing after viewing a wikipedia page...
read through this and the other thread, so updated to version 37 and everything's running ok once again 🙂

As a note, I WAS able to get to my install directory by using the "backup & restore" app on the phone, and using this https://nelenkov.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/unpacking-android-backups.html
which in theory would also then allow me to 'repack' and restore

Phone is not rooted (up to now). Does it help if application is copied to external SD card? Or are such settings still stored internally?

I do remember we used to have a debug option to start without "session restore" which is what we call it. I'm not sure if we still have that and whether or not it's there in production builds. I'll check with someone tomorrow.

the session history probably is stored somewhere. is is possible to edit /delete or maybe send you that file?

There was an unfortunate bug that slipped past in our recent release which would cause some configurations to crash on startup. An update was released a couple of hours later to fix that issue.

If that's not the cause I'd be very interested in hearing about the crash. If it crashes on what we call "session restore" we really need to track it down. Can you tell me the link causing the crash... or perhaps post some details about your phone so I can locate it in our crash logging system.
