Sometimes all is fine but most of the time either keyboard typing or scrolling pages shows a lag before performing the action.
Not sure but may this be related to communication with mouse keyboard?
By the way all other programs do not show any strange behavior with mouse or keyboard.

A little trick I use is a session manager called Session Buddy. It a wonderful little extension. I set it as one of my default pages that open when I start the browser. I can then use it to load some or all of windows and tabs I had open. Heres what you'll need to do:

First install 'Download Chrome Extension'
https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/

Then install 'Session Buddy'
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/session-buddy/edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko?hl=en

Next set this page as one of your set pages when using the 'Open a specific page or set of pages' option in settings.
chrome-extension://edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko/main.html

Now, whenever you start up Opera it will have the Session Buddy page all queued up. Sometimes you need to refresh it to get it to display right. I don't know why.

I did as proposed. Had to reopen the tabs from bookmarks though. But no problem.
Now the session DB is much much smaller (93.000 KB to 300 KB).
I also deleted all cokies.
Now Opera is very fast again.
Thanks

Sometimes the files that store that info get very large and some peoples systems can't handle the size. Try deleting the files. They are found in your profile folder (the location of which can be seen in the About opera page) and all three start with the word session.
