<![CDATA["Click to play" seems to be the new plug-ins policy]]>Today I started Opera and was notified that a new version had been installed. But then I started amazon.com and saw in a new bar at the top, "Get special offers with the Amazon 1Button App," with two options: "Install now" and "No thanks."

The problem is that I have Javascript turned off and the plug-ins policy is "Do not run plug-ins by default" with amazon.com NOT included in exceptions. This behavior is more consistent with "Click to play." Am I wrong?

Its something amazon.com is doing, when it detects opera user agent it offers to install that extension (note: its an extension, not a plugin).
