How can I activate it?</p>

Support for NPAPI will never be added. So unless Oracle finds some way to provide a PPAPI plugin you will not get Java working.</p>

But at the same time I don't really care so much because java is more and more replaced by HTML5 and other techniques, and no website that I visit regularly use Java.</p>

For what I've read until now, JAVA uses some NPAPI plugin tech, and opera doesn't support that kind of plugins.</p>
<p dir="auto">In fact, google chrome has disabled the support for NPAPI also.</p>
<p dir="auto">I haven't found a solution in order to run Java on Opera (which I use as my mainly browser)!</p>
