<p dir="auto">It stays if I minimize and restore, open a new window or tab or switch Opera to a different monitor.  This happens in no other application.  If I close Opera and open it; it is gone, but it returns the first time I click on the menu.</p>

No joy.  But I did notice it usually happens after the screensaver has been active.</p>

That is bazaar. Never seen anything like that with Opera before. As just a random thing I would say to update your video card drivers from the makers website (not Windows Update) and reboot your PC. If that doesn't fix it I would completely uninstall Opera using Revo Uninstaller and reinstall it.</p>
