This has been standard Windows behavior for over a decade. It has worked fine in older versions of Opera such as Opera 12, but no longer works in Opera 28.

When the top left corner of a Windows application is double clicked that application is supposed to Close. Opera 28 does not implement this standard behaviour.

To recreate. Maximize Opera, then double click in the upper left hand corner. Notice it does not close Opera.

Expected Behaviour = Double clicking in the top left corner of Opera should shut it down.

The Opera menu does not share the functions of the standard window menu (close, maximize, minimize, etc) so double clicking it should not close the browser. This is just one of the many different things to expect from newer versions of Opera.
