I recently switched to a new smartphone and wanted to log in to my Opera account and synchronize all my data. However, I am being asked to enter a “Passphrase”, even though I have never set or entered one.

When I try to change the encryption settings, the only available option is a passphrase. The “Use Opera account credentials” option is greyed out and cannot be selected.

I also tried to pair my old and new devices. However, the QR code does not load on my old device. When I try the process in the opposite direction, the new device cannot scan/read the QR code.

Could you please tell me what I need to do to access my Opera account on my new device and restore/synchronize all my data?

I would really appreciate your help, as I need to transfer my synced data from my old device to the new one.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
