<![CDATA[Cannot enter password when "Account requires a password" message is shown during code login]]>When attempting to log into Opera GX using a verification code sent via email, the login process fails and displays the message "This account requires a password". However, the page does not provide any field to input a password, nor does it display any link or button to reset or set up a password.

As a result, I'm stuck in an endless loop and I cannot complete the login or enable synchronization.

You can also try
logging to auth directly from auth.opera.com using magic code and setting up password in "security" tab.

Opera doesn't send verification codes to your email during the login process to an Opera account.

A verification code is sent when you are creating your Opera account, to check if the email address used is valid.

Are you trying to login to an existing account or are you trying to create a new one?
