While nothing is ever truly 'written in stone,' Tab Islands simply aren't on the roadmap for the foreseeable future. We appreciate you sharing your perspective on the aesthetics and the implementation process, though.

Opera GX has a flag to activate tab islands why can't you implement this flag that has 20 000 views on opera forum , which is used >1% users so in reality lot more desire this function

So called Tab Islands are not a part of Opera AIR and there is no plan to change it for now.

Tabs islands, with all it's colors and structure doesn't work well with AIR's minimalistic mission.
