Since switching over to Opera from Firefox I have been pretty impressed with how far it has come.
Enough so that I want to continue using it!

A couple of small things that I would appreciate other migrants help with:

QuoteURLtext. Is an old and a very useful "clipper" for getting brief but meaningful information from a webpage.

I'm sure there must be a way to edit the size of the boxes in the very useful Opera Start Page.

How do we alter the layout of the Tab Bar and components we add to it?

Yes, I know the information is probably in there somewhere, but I am under a fair bit of time pressure at the moment and although I will keep searching and learning any pointers will be appreciated.

For what it's worth, I am using the fantastic program called Dragon NaturallySpeaking (for converting voice to text directly), an amazing package that I can no longer do without.
This has created the only real annoyance so far in my change over to Opera: I have to use an in between program (Dictation Box) to actually insert the text.
If there happens to be another Dragon user out there who has solved this, I'd be extra grateful!

Amazing that nobody on the Community Opera knew about this when I complained about missing it from Firefox!
Here it is in addons!
https://addons.opera.com/en-gb/extensions/details/simpletaborder/?display=en#feedback-container

There are some terrific timesavers buried in those extensions, You should take a trip through them - it will be well worth it.

Cheers!

QuoteURLtext I've introduced to many Fox-using friends and Members over the years and never found a substitute when coupled with KeepNote , but I know the replacements are out there..... somewhere.

Who'da thought that it fixed the size permanently ?? :-0

Oh, a very strangely overlooked and really necessary ability for serious Surfers in Opera.

I'll take your word for it.

I'm sure there must be a way to edit the size of the boxes in the very useful Opera Start Page.

Plus and Minus keys a.k.a. the zoom keys. It will save whatever zoom size you set it too. Same with the bookmarks page.

How do we alter the layout of the Tab Bar and components we add to it?

At this point you can't. As for the extensions you ad, they are arranged in the order you added them.
