After Opera update many videos no longer play. What needs to be done to correct this? YouTube videos are now hit and miss. Some play others don't.

Running Opera One(version: 123.0.5669.47) again and Opera runs fine today. But Opera wants to update when you close then reopen Opera. How can you stop this from happening?
Afraid Opera will update to buggy Opera One(version: 124.0.5705.42) again.

I noticed the same behavior on Linux Mint. Update finished with error, but Opera updated to a new version, and videos stopped playing. The reason was in the installation path of Opera. It has been changed from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera to /....../opera-stable. That's way libffmpeg.so file stayed in old location. I moved it to a new setup path and the problem gone.
