<![CDATA[Ctrl + Tab and split screen]]>When you are inside a split screen, press Ctrl + Tab, it sends you to your latest opened tab, as expected.

I would expect pressing Ctrl + Tab to reopen the split screen, but instead it opens another "single" tab, and I cannot go back to my split screen with Ctrl + Tab.

This appears to be a bug or oversight in the feature's implementation. The current workaround is to manually click the combined tab header or the associated Tab Island to return to the split view.
