I have recently upgraded from Opera 12 to Opera 28 plus separate Opera Mail. Importing my emails to Opera Mail went smoothly. However, I just realized that the "Search mail" function would not work with the imported emails. It would only work with the new emails that I received through my POP-account.

Probably a bug? Any help or comment would be helpful!

Thank you.

Same thing. There exists no "Menu/Chat and eMail" option as support documentation indicates. If a webclient or local client does not exist just tell me.

Where is Opera's own email program?

J BTW: for some reason I had a lot of trouble getting my security accepted on Opera.
Even here on the help page it took me until this afternoon (several hours coming and going work) to finally be able to
post a message here??
I finally gave up and worked with Good old Gmail....

See "Menu -> help -> about Opera Mail" for the location.

When Opera starts up, that should cause Opera to reindex the messages for searching (as long as your messages did indded import correctly).
