<![CDATA[Opera for Mac uses Spanish Wikipedia for search]]>Typing "w [search query]" (without quotation marks) in the URL bar and hitting return searches Wikipedia for whatever "[search query]" is. For some reason, it uses Spanish Wikipedia to do so, and I haven't been able to change this setting.

My OS language is British English. My computer's region is set to the United Kingdom. My keyboard setup is British English. I am currently in Germany. Why is Opera using Spanish Wikipedia? (This behaviour is not specific to the time I have been in Germany.)

Technical info:

  • macOS version: 26.0
  • Opera version: 122.0.5643.92 (arm64), but the problem has been present since previous versions
