<![CDATA[Unable to download]]>I recently installed opera gx on a new laptop and maybe its because I've switched from mac and am still finding my footing but I cannot for the life of me get anything to download on specifically the gx browser. It works fine on the normal but I much preferred gx on my old laptop and I also cant download mods on here too which sucks. I've got a lenovo thinkpad 5. Anyone have any advice?

If it helps, the reason given for the error is FILE_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILED

You shouldn't have to do that though if Windows Defender or whatever anti-virus you're using is running properly.

There are some cases where if you used a different anti-virus than Windows Defender and uninstalled that anti-virus to go back to using Windows Defender, things don't work right because the uninstall for that anti-virus didn't work completely. In that case, you might have to find a removal tool for that anti-virus to clean up what its regular uninstaller didn't do. Or, reinstall that anti-virus and the uninstall it again.
