Issue Description:
Opera GX consistently crashes and automatically restarts when typing the letter “B” into the address bar. The crash occurs as soon as the autocomplete drop-down appears. This behavior is reproducible and occurs both in normal and incognito modes.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Launch Opera GX.
  • Click on the address bar.
  • Type the letter “B”.
  • The autocomplete drop-down briefly appears.
  • The browser crashes and restarts automatically.

Expected Behavior:
Autocomplete suggestions should appear without causing the browser to crash.
Actual Behavior:
Typing “B” triggers a crash and automatic restart of the browser.

Troubleshooting Performed:

  • Disabled all extensions and mods.
  • Cleared browsing data, cache, and history.
  • Deleted History and Visited Links files from the profile directory.
  • Tested in incognito mode (issue persists).
  • Disabled hardware acceleration via settings and launch parameters (--disable-gpu).
  • Ran full malware scan using AVG (paid version) and system diagnostics via Advanced System Care.
  • Verified issue persists even when browser is launched offline (suggesting local rendering issue).
  • Confirmed that no other letters cause this behavior — only “B”.

Additional Notes:

  • The crash is triggered specifically by the autocomplete drop-down when typing “B”.
  • No malware or system corruption detected.
  • The issue may be related to autocomplete rendering or a corrupted suggestion tied to the letter “B”.
  • No relevant files beyond History and Visited Links were found in the profile directory.
  • The browser is running on Early Access update stream.

I was tying to got to bestbuy.com and that's when I discovered it.

Also tried: disabling extensions, incognito mode, disabling hardware acceleration, confirmed to work as intended for all other letters and numbers.
