You can open a speed dial in a folder without opening the folder by using middle-click (mouse wheel) or Ctrl + Left-click – both will open it directly in a new tab .

Thanks for the information, is that something that has to be turned on somewhere?

If I middle click on my mouse it turns on scrolling and if I ctrl+Left Click it just opens the Speed dial folder as usual.

Absolutely.
That's a much better way of explaining it than I came up with.

P.S. It's only a suggestion, I'm not a programmer so I have no idea if it is possible. It's would just be a great improvement to the way I use Opera.

I am aware that if a Speed dial only goes to one site it is "live".

But seems that I'm the only one who has similar sites grouped together on one tab.

If (as I have ) there is more than 1 Web page on each, (see technical, travel and silhouette on the image below.
These links are not live instead they take you to another page to pick where you want to go.

I want to miss out that step and go direct to my choice of the 4.

Obviously, not a popular idea if you don't use Opera Speed Dials as much as I do, I have dozens.
