so whenever i use Opera now with the new UI update the tab I'm on is always highlighted and it's really Fing annoying can i disable it?
i reverted to the old UI months ago but now I'm forced to use the new one and i only reverted because of this issue.
can i turn this off in anyway?

if you don't like it you may want to start thinking about switching to firefox or something. i know i'm thinking about it.

I dont want go to new UI it looks horrendous, they should keep old one delete new one.

got the setting to show never but the tab i'm on is still highlighted. the only thing i can do is change my theme colour and tune down the lightness but that makes the side bar and everything dark too.

IDK what they did to the UI and browser overall but it looks terrible now. I turned off the setting and the whole browser just changed on me. I think it did an update, can I undo this update? I hate it.

As to turning off the highlighting, go to settings and search TAB, it should be down near the bottom. There is an option that says Show traces on most recently used tabs then you can choose how many. Just turn this crap off.

i was forced onto the new UI which i wouldn't mind if i didn't have a tab highlighted when i'm on the tab itself.
