<p dir="auto">I disabled my (few) extensions - same, I updated to Opera 27 &amp; still the same.</p>

is hardware acceleration enabled? if so, try again after disabling it (or vice versa if it isn't).</p>
<p dir="auto">from my observations (painstakingly described <a href="https://forums.opera.com/topic/8440/rendering-problems-of-opera-29">here</a>, and <a href="https://forums.opera.com/topic/7822/black-rectangle">here</a>, and <a href="https://forums.opera.com/topic/6984/pepperflashplugin-stable-vs-developer">there</a>) there appear to be some problems with certain hardware configurations. hence it might help to switch between hardware acceleration and software rendering, be the latter as uncomfortable a solution as it unluckily is.</p>
