I personally hate everything about it enough to sign up on this forum and to switch browsers, even though I really don't want to.

Hoping someone can tell me I'm blind and overlooking an option to revert. Or do I actually have to go through the hassle of downloading an old version and launching it from a desktop shortcut for the rest of my life?

For some strange reason the new UI would no longer allow me to drag n drop download links into my file host.

Go to C:\Users*USERNAME*\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera GX Stable\ and edit the "Local State" file with any text editor.

Using Ctrl+F find "gxx_flags":{"enabled":true," and change "true" to "false".

Sadly it work only for 1 session and reset for second.

P.s. I lost all my tabs, logins, passwords, settings and saves while seeking for it.
Whoever force new ui without possibility to revert should be fired.

Don't know why I didn't think of that, but thanks. Both working and looking like I want it to, now.

Version number for anyone looking to roll back from the new UI: 114.0.5282.159

I've tried rolling back to several different older versions of GX and disabling auto updates, resulting in my browser crashing on startup in this manner: Blank white screen, opens and closes itself several times, then full crash. Is that also by design, or am I just downloading borked old versions?

Everything I can find online says this was achievable in the past. And I've tried it without extensions.

However it doesn't make sense to keep two UIs available forever, so at some point that option to use two UIs has to be removed.

I think it's weird to have had the option to change it back before, then. I've used opera for like 10 years, I'll never understand why companies just overhaul their UI at random & don't let you the user decide what you want to use. Thanks
