<![CDATA[Can only create an account using Gmail email address]]>I am using the Opera browser and so far I am very happy with it. The only issue I have and would like to know more about is that I could only make an Opera account using my google account and not with another email? Is this a bug?

It tells me: You need to log in with your social media account that is connected to the Opera account. I don't have a social media account connected to my Opera account. I am logged in with a google account. This is beyond silly. Again, I can't share a screenshot as it keeps telling me the file is too big...I mean, really?

As said, I have to put in a password but since I am creating a new account I don't have a password to fill in. If I do fill in a bogus password is says my password is wrong and after applying for a new password just to see what happens, the email never comes and no, it also did not arrive in my spam. I have decided to give up and delete my account. If it is that difficult, it is not worth my time. There are plenty other browsers that work perfectly fine.

The screenshot shows the options I am given. Again, the info you gave that you can only log in with a Gmail is incorrect. I will use my google as log in as there is no solution and wrong information.

This does not make sense becausenInhad no password to begin with. I have searched online for the issue I have and it is a known issue that goes back years with no solution.

When I enter an email it takes me to a page where I need to add a password, I assume for existing accounts, so I opted for Google. A google account is not the same as a Gmail account. Since you can also log in with Facebook and Apple the info you gave me that I need to log in with a Google account is incorrect.
