I'm one of those users that has tons of tabs in their experience, a good portion of them being YouTube pages that have yet to be viewed in full.

I also use more than one Workspace, each for a different purpose.

When I upgraded my browser less than a week ago, it kept bootlooping.

I backed up my profile and did some experimentation.

Turns out, trying to re-enable Tab Scrolling instantly crashes the browser. The setting is obviously not sustained, and whenever I try to make it stick, it simply crashes again.

Please fix this, otherwise my Opera GX is 'officially' bricked.

I have this exact issue, latest version working for me is 117.0.5408.100, currently i have disabled updates and just waiting for this to be fixed, yet this is well over month already and still no fix. It does not matter whether there are opened loads of tabs or not, tried to install fresh latest version on my wife's laptop. And since i went to enable tab scrolling it immediately crashed as well.
