<![CDATA[Opera Classic update for Android Lollipop]]>Hi, all.

Today, we released a long-awaited fix for Mobile Classic. The app now runs on Android Lollipop (5.0).

This might be our last update to Mobile Classic. We are no longer actively developing the app, since we switched to Chromium/Blink. Opera has more intuitive versions of our browsers in Google Play, with new features, better site compatibility and updated security. If you haven’t tried them, check them out on Google Play Opera for Android and Opera Mini Beta.

While there, you may notice that we have a few different browsers listed, but we have delisted Mobile Classic from Google Play.

Q: Why are you delisting Mobile Classic?

A: We want to encourage new users to try out one of our actively-developed products – Opera for Android or Opera Mini Beta.

Q: Where can I download Mobile Classic?

A: From our download page you can find Opera Mobile 12.1.9

Q: I have a phone running an earlier version of Android, and I’d like to upgrade to Lollipop. Will I get an automatic update of Mobile Classic?

A: Yes.

Q: My phone can’t run Opera for Android, what should I do?

A: Try out Opera Mini Beta. You can keep running Mobile Classic, but bear in mind that we no longer actively develop this browser.

Bookmarks file /data/data/com.opera.browser.classic/opera/etc/2/all - this is not a standard (binary) file which is impossible to parse. Maybe the developers do another update and replace the bookmarks file to the "standard" format? Maybe in sqlite database? After closing the opera link service does not create a recyclebin in the bookmark, need to fix.

Could be one of Google's scripts snoook in..they halved some of my Jellybeans in the floating 'game' when I rooted my android.

Still not working. It worked for fine for the first few days, then bam, nothing but a white screen...

Try 'developer' settings & 'use GPU to draw....'
Just installed the 12.1.9 here on an octacore with 2G ram, and it's touch & go, pardon the pun. Forced closed the old Opera Classic after white screen.

Just for some reason every single page was only showing at half width until I reset the app's data.

I just finished installation of Lollipop on my Note 3 Samsung. Opera classic that I enjoy working with, doesn´t work on it. I found some comments on the forums and thinking of installing Opera mini instead.
How am I going to transfer all the data and bookmarks from Opera classic to newly installed Opera mini account?

If you have an Opera link account which had synced your Speed dials and bookmarks etc, you can login with the same account credentials to Opera Sync (new sync) on either Opera mini or Opera browser for Android and the content from Link will be imported to a new Sync account.

Ola boa noite moro no Brasil sempre gostei dos navegadores mobile opera na versão mobile e classic mas a Asa não vem dando suporte aos seus usuários na versão lolipo nenhum dos dois estão funcionando estou procurando outro pous utilizava opera desde 2008 nas no momento estou muito decepcionado obrigado pela atenção da equipe e aguardo a volta dos tempos de ouro da Asa

Você deve usar inglês nesta parte fórum, e o que estou fazendo agora é igualmente errado. Tem 2 versões do Opera para Lollipop que recebem suporte da Opera ASA, baixe e teste-as na play store.

You should use english in this part of the forum. There are 2 versions of Opera for Lollipop that are supported by Opera ASA, give a try and download on of them or both at Play Store.

Hmm its a slightly older engine version of chrome with speed dials. Classic is far more customizable. It was a mistake not to have Pursued opera mobile labs it was ahead of the game at the time with extensions.

I have Galaxy Note 3 with 5.0 android, and Note 8" with 4.4.2. Yesterday I have updated on both devices opera, and immediately after update it didn't work!!!! Huge disappointment!!! Than came update for update and it solved problem on my note 8" running 4.4.2, but on Note 3 with 5.0 it didn't!!! Before second crash fix update on Note 3 I even couldn't start Opera at all. Now I can, but entering any web address or pressing on any bookmark or tab it closes application immediately.
PLEASE SOLVE THIS ASAP!!!!

Plus on Mobile I sign into my account and my bookmarks just don't show up anywhere, so because of these problems Mobile seems like a pointless browser to me and just use Classic & Chrome.
