I'm quite frustrated by the impossibility to drag and drop any URL to a local folder/desktop. I used it every minute with my former browser (by dragging the icon on the left of the url). I need it much to store websites and pictures and notes altogether in LOCAL folders.
Could you please explain how to get the facility back?
Thanks in advance
Not perfect solution but doable and much easier than copying and pasting URL into a windows "Create shortcut" dialogue box then typing in the name of the shortcut.

Click on "History" icon. In the window on right - click and drag the Opera icon to the desktop.

It was not there in previous versions. Opera 12 and Opera 15+ are different programs.

I highly doubt that as this is the only thread I have ever seen asking about the issue.

I remember seeing it in a former version of Opera, and Firefox supports it too. I hope this feature will be added to the future dev, or solved by an addon (I've tested a lot, but none is able to save locally).
Still stuck to the copy - create a New Shortcut - paste procedure....
Vivaldi, Chrome and Internet Explorer support it though. I can't test Firefox as I don't have it on my system. The devs don't have a future features list posted anywhere that I know of so I can't say if or when it will be added. I can only assume that it will eventually be added since so many other browsers support it.
