I've done a couple updates to all versions of Opera on my desktop PC, and haven't had any success, so my only fix so far has been to conduct all banking on another browser.

I fixed it by updating the browser.

Here's what happened:

First time attempt to log-in to Wells Fargo after Opera installed on my new PC. I had been using Opera on my old PC for a few weeks, so I am pretty that this was not an issue with Opera previously.

I used Aria to check for issues, which is how I found this forum thread. I checked cookies, cache, and site security settings with no luck.

Wells Fargo official browser compatibility is limited to Edge, Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

My version of Opera 118.0.5461.60

Updated to 118.0.5461.83. Fixed! Security updates were listed as part of the update, which I guess is most updates, but presumably that's what made the difference.

I've tried overwriting the User-Agent header to one I know works (Firefox), I've tried matching all of the other request headers to a working login call, I've tried disabling adblock, and Wells Fargo still rejects the browser. I'm not sure how they are detecting Opera.

I also want to add that I'm having this problem on multiple devices, tried clearing cache, etc.

I haven't used GX in quite some time, and I'm not familiar with the other one you mentioned.

It's like the bank is specifically blocking log-in attempts from this one browser.
