<![CDATA[Opera 12.16 How to subscribe to newsgroups without getting all the posts since year dot?]]>Hello All,
I have been trying to subscribe to a new newsgroup, and when I do Opera starts downloading a few hundred thousand posts from the news server.
I have been looking for a setting to limit the initial download to (say) the last 20 posts, but thus far not found it.
Is there a way to do this?

Mind you, at that time if you'd unsubscribed from a group and then later resubscribed it would try to download everything since - glad to hear that was changed.

The problem is solved.
I tried subscribing again, and this time a dbox popped up asking how many of the latest messages I wanted to receive.
Curious that I didn't get that when I subscribed previously.
