<![CDATA[Opera 12 Recommended ways to block ads on yahoo.com]]>I like yahoo.com. I hate the sponsored ads.

I tried to use a css file to get rid of them, but doesn't seem to work. I tried using adblock, but I realized that adblock really slows down the browser, especially on start up.

Any recommendations to block these annoying ads?

No extensions, no CSS (though it will usually leave empty spaces where the ads would have been that way) ... but it's been years since I looked at Yahoo.

Thats a super old school way of doing it. A quick google will show you how to accomplish that.
