It appears from the advice given in this thread that Chrome PDF viewer is enabled by default so you should be able to view PDF's as soon as you install Opera 26.

This is the result I got with Chrome PDF viewer enabled http://s617.photobucket.com/user/Tel567/media/ScreenPrint.png.html

As soon as I installed this https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/pdf-viewer/?display=en I could view PDF'S on my desktop.

Thanks for your reply.
I have now got it working on the desktop by installing the 'pdf viewer' extension.
Chrome PDF viewer is still enabled in the plugins but as I said all I got a blank page so to view a pdf I need the two installed! It doesn't explain why I was eventually able to view a pdf on my laptop with only Chrome PDF viewer enabled.
Anyway the main thing is that I can view pdf's using Opera!

As I said I use Opera on few computers and they would not display a pdf. All I got was a blank screen everytime I tried to display one!

You proved to me yesterday that I was doing something wrong and showed me how to display a pdf on my laptop.

This morning I am on my desktop and I cannot get the pdf to display. This is the screenshot of the coffee break pdf given above http://s617.photobucket.com/user/Tel567/media/ScreenPrint.png.html showing a blank screen.

I have typed opera://plugins in the address bar and Chrome PDF Viewer was there and enabled. After I did that on my laptop the pdf displayed although I can assure you they did not before I asked the question. I have just done it on the desktop and all I get is a blank screen just like the screenshot above.

This is the Opera details on my desktop. My laptop details are similar.
Version:	26.0.1656.60 - Opera is up to date
Update stream:	Stable

System:	Windows 7 64-bit (WoW64)

Make sure that the link you're trying to open ends with .pdf, otherwise no PDF will be opened. My link is an example... You can try with any link you like (needs to end with the .pdf file extension).

That link does not contain a PDF file. Try with this one:

Are you sure that you did the steps correctly?... These are the steps to go to opera://plugins and enable the PDF viewer:

I have used previous versions of Opera (up to 12) and there was always a pdf viewer installed automatically. I know version 26 is based on chrome but even Chrome downloads with a pdf viewer already installed.

I can't see opera:plugins in my version. There is Opera:get extensions and I can see 6 pdf extensions. Is open with Google drive viewer the preferred pdf extension for Opera?
