I figured out what the problem was. Coincidentally, my page loading problem started as soon as I installed Kaspersky on my machine.

Apparently, the new Kaspersky update has a problem with Opera's VPN. To fix the problem, simply set opera.exe as a trusted application in your antivirus settings.

Kaspersky -> Settings -> Security settings -> Network Settings -> Configure trusted applications -> Add -> Select your opera.exe -> Check "Do not scan encrypted traffic" -> Click OK.

I just found the solution on Opera's reddit and it worked perfectly (: Hope it works for you too!

Opera works fine for a while after I open in, then when I try to follow a link from one site to another it simply doesn't load. I have to pick up the url and put it in Chrome, when it works perfectly. With Opera the little circle thingy that shows a page is loading just keeps goind round and round,
If I close Opera and reopen it, the url I copied works just fine.

I don't have any extensions installed, I've tried disabling any built-in enhancements in Opera, I've cleared the cache, and I've tested the same sites in other browsers.

The problem seems to be especially when I try to log in or switch accounts on sites.

I use Opera GX and I'm even considering switching browsers.
