What I can’t find anywhere is an explanation of why anyone would do that. What is the benefit? How does it work? Does it mean that, when I sign into Opera, I’m signed into the other accounts or vice versa? I’m not suggesting it’s a bad thing to do this; I just don’t see the point, and I can’t find an explanation.

So, what’s the point?

It isn't at all clear in Opera's instructions how it works. It just asks if you want to do it. So if I say yes, what then? Do I use my Google credentials to log into Opera?

If there isn't a helpful answer this time, I'll drop it.
