<![CDATA[purging of mail]]>Twice in recent weeks, both my incoming mail and 'Trash' older than about 20 days disappeared. I contacted FASTMAIL about it who say that it is a function of my e-mail client - which I assume is Opera and my IMAP setting. I checked that but found nothing that would indicate such an action or default.

Every once-in-a-while I need to refer to an old e-mail and I want to be able to delete old e-mails myself, both still in the Incoming, and in the Trash.

How can I be assured that NOTHING disappears unless deleted by myself?

I recently got a new PC and I have Windows 8.1 and Opera 12.16, but use the Chrome browser and Fastmail, and my address is @operamail.com.
