<![CDATA[Shortcut for homepage]]>Would really like to be able to set a "homepage"

  • and have a kb shortcut for that as well.
  • and an icon placeable on the address line.

There are days I am involved in a project and need a specific site to come up when I go "home".

I do it now by putting it top left on speed dial, but that is an extra click or three.

I made a modified version here that supports local files. For example, you can set the homepage URL to file:///C:/Users/yourusername/Desktop/home.html.

Download the zip file, extract it, goto the URL opera://extensions, turn on developer mode, click "load unpacked" and point it to the extracted folder where manifest.json is at. Then, at opera://extensions, click "details" for the extension and make sure "Allow access to file URLs" is enabled. It should be enabled by default.

Then, when you click the + button on the tab bar (or use ctrl + t) to open a new tab, the new tab will be your home page.
