Download "Opera_GX_107.0.5045.37_Setup_x64.exe" from https://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera_gx/107.0.5045.37/win/.

Goto the URL
opera://about
, take note of the "install" path and close Opera GX.

Uninstall Opera GX but don't choose to delete your data when asked.

Delete the install folder.

Delete everything in "C:\Windows\temp" and "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp"

Then, hit Windows key + r to open the run dialog, type
control schedtasks
and press enter to open the Task Scheduler.

Then, select Task Scheduler Library and look through the list of tasks. There should be no Opera-related tasks as you uninstalled Opera GX. If there are any Opera ones, right-click and delete them.

Then, look at the "action" tab for any other entries to see if you see any mention of Opera GX and its setup file. If so, you can delete that task too.

Then, launch "Opera_GX_107.0.5045.37_Setup_x64.exe", click "options", uncheck "import data from default browser", adjust all the other options as you like and install.

That should make sure you have Opera GX from an official source and make sure you don't have any shady or broken Opera scheduled tasks.

First off, let's think about what might be causing this. It could be something sneaky going on in the background, like a scheduled task or a misbehaving browser extension. Check your browser settings and extensions for anything fishy.

don't forget about those viruses! Running a good ol' antivirus scan might just uncover if there's any malicious software causing all this trouble.

Since you've already got Opera GX installed, there's really no need for those setup files to keep popping up. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that does the trick. Resetting your browser settings to default could also work wonders.
