<![CDATA[[Duplicated]Youtube prevents playback with Opera adblocker turned on]]>Simply, youtube prevets playback of videos with the adblocker turned on, but when i refresh the page, it starts playing normally (With the adblocker still turned on).
From what i have seen, the adblocker should have been updated to try and bypass this block. (Which it does, but only after i open the video and then refresh the page)

Opera's built in youtube ad blocker does not work anymore, because youtube updated block detection, it has the 3 video warning, after 3 videos, cannot load any video at all. I checked Brave and is working fine there, because they always gets it working.

When Opera's blocker is working, it does not often block ads, it is a bit faulty. you see the ads yellow bar but no video.
I switched to ublock and it works like Brave

I was using Enhancer for Youtube, which has its own adblock for some reason. Upon disabling that feature, everything works as it should.

Sometimes this helps.

I tried running uBlock origin, with the same result. Youtube still block playback until i refresh the page.
Brave browser has no issue blocking ads and it does not trigger the prompt. Tho Opera GX looks and feels much better.
I looked around the internet for solutions but none have worked.

Check that everything is on in settings…

…then go to exceptions and make sure YouTube isn't in them…

Repeat these steps for trackers, and reload your YouTube tabs with tracker and ad blocking enabled. If this still doesn't fix it, you can try an extension like uBlock Origin for Opera, which blocks YouTube ads.
