<![CDATA[Reactivate "opera:config#UserPrefs|AutoDropdown"]]>I am looking for a way to free the address bar from its search engine function. I don't want all kinds of things to be offered to me as a drop-down menu (with the headings Opera, History, Bookmarks and city names) as soon as I type a few letters into the address bar.
For example, I don't want an excerpt of my bookmarks to be served up immediately to me or to anyone else working under my login.

During two hours of Internet research, I did come across a few tips, but none of them work any more with Opera version 105.0.4970.21. That's what I call a bad improvement! 😞

Alternative:
There should have been a function "opera:config#UserPrefs|AutoDropdown" for the address bar that could be switched off. But this feature is no longer available. It would be nice to reactivate it.
