This extension is a very popular one but for a few years now haven't ben updated.
It steel has many several issues:

When you delete a picture it may delete several your pictures at once. A've lost my pictures this way a few times already.

It stops playing animated gifs when a new picture is added

It does not back up the pictures in any real way (cashing in unreadable formats is not how it schould be)

It doesn't allow for changing the pictures order.

So. Can you answer my question?

It works nice with deleting images now. The moving thumbnails function is great.
However the extension does not allow for animated gifs. The old one did.
I love to have some animated gifs in the gallery.
Please can you fix this bug?

Half of the gifs I use are the animated ones. I think several people use them too.

It should automatically update within several hours.

I wasn't able to reproduce neither the deletion problem nor the one with animated gifs.
However, I have rewritten the storage mechanism to be simpler and more robust which should fix the deletion issues.
I've also fixed a number of small bugs, added context menu support and drag and drop reordering with jQuery.Sortable (but it doesn't work too well I'm afraid).

Hope the new version works well for you.
