I never delete it, never browse in private mode or anything, so why/how did this happen?
This had never happened to me until now, after years of using Opera.

Opera 26.0.1656.24 on Windows 7 64-bit.

So you weren't using the search field in history? So you were just looking at the entries? Or you were using search in page?

Whether I was using the search field or whatever, it was all empty anyway, nothing to search for.

I'm not sure what you mean by how I'm doing the search. I just hit ctrl+h and there's the entries.

Anyway, good to know that it seems to be working now.

It's just that the history deleted everything prior to that date. Now it's working, but it only goes back a couple of days (for now). The entries were pretty old, I'd say months. I didn't see anything in the settings to set a limit.

Doing that only reset the history. I reverted the files back again. The history works, it just decided to forget everything at some point.

The idea is exactly reset the file to see if the problem isn't caused by file corruption.

How old were those entries ? The history has a limit afaik.

Also, how are you doing the search ?

Any extension being used? Any third part software that may be cleaning your browsing data?
A corrupted history file maybe?
It has no entries or you just can't find a specific one?

I'm not using anything new, I didn't clear anything. Could be a file corruption, I have no idea.
It had no entries at all. It seems to be registering what I've visited today, at least.
