<![CDATA[Resize tiles on New Start Page?]]>I'd like smaller tiles in more columns on the new Start Page. I can't see anywhere tile size/columns can be adjusted. Is there a way to do this?

However I always have Advanced Settings checked. What you copied I always saw with the old Speed Dial selected as my start page. Since I set the New Start Page the settings I copied are all that are available - to me at least.

The list under the Start page heading should read as follows:

  ☑ Preload Discover contents when I use it
  ☐ Adjust Speed Dial animations for slower hardware
• ☐ Use big Speed Dial thumbnails
⚠ Speed Dial thumbnail width: [116 ] and height: [119 ] [ Reset ]
• Maximum number of columns: [7]
⚠ ☐ Hide the search box in Speed Dial

Preload Discover contents when I use it

Adjust Speed Dial animations for slower hardware

Maximum number of columns:

Hide the search box in Speed Dial

Perhaps I have done something wrong?

  1. Visit the opera://settings page

  2. Make sure the mouse cursor is not in the search box under Settings,

  3. Now type ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → b a using your keyboard.

  4. Opera will now display a power user settings dialogue, and warns you that 'these settings are hidden for a reason, they can severely mess up the browser and we can take no responsibility or performance of the product after proceeding.'

  5. Once you've read that, click on the 'I understand, Proceed' button.

You should now see a section in the 'Browser' part of the settings page titled 'Start page', which has quite a few settings for you to play around with.
