<p dir="auto">is it at least possible to get a link into speed dial without making a bookmark first?</p>
</blockquote>
<p dir="auto">Yep, there are lots of ways:</p>
<ul>
<li>Open the Speed Dial, click on the <code>+</code> and add it via <code>Suggestions</code> (or manually by URL).</li>
<li>Click on the <code>Opera</code> menu (or press and release Alt). Then choose <code>Page</code> → <code>Add to Speed Dial</code></li>
<li>Right click on the page itself (or use the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menu_key" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc"><code>Menu</code></a> key) and choose <code>Add to Speed Dial</code></li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">Or easiest of all:</p>
<ul>
<li>Issue the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + B</li>
</ul>
