I'm using a Macbook with M1 chip. It is acting like it is newly downloaded, opened the welcome page with zero history and as if it is brand new.</p>

My old data was already in the path files. Type opera:about/ to find your path. It should be something like this: 	/Users/[YOURNAME]/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera/Default</p>
<p dir="auto">If you uninstall Opera, you probably either have "Default" or "Default.old" Check both and find the file named "bookmarks" and "bookmarks.bak" see if your old bookmarks are in there. If so, download opera again, copy the old ones from "default.old" and paste them in the new "default" file. Do all of this when Opera is not running.</p>

This is actually my very first and also last post on this forum. Today it happened again. Once on my personal PC (Win) about 4 months ago and now on my work laptop (MacBook Pro M1). I've lost months of work, all my history, all my bookmarks, all my opened tabs. The only appropriate reaction is to uninstall Opera. Sad to see this happen, f***ing angry that the developers let this happen.</p>
