<![CDATA[[macOS] Opera does not keep cookies or ask to store passwords]]>Hello everyone,

Ever since I've tried Opera (since version 98) I have this issue where it won't keep cookies or ask to store passwords.
I use only 2 add-ons, uBlock Origin and Bitwarden. I've turned them off, even backed up my profile and tried with a clean one, same issue.

However, when I copy my profile to a different computer or try it in a new user account, everything works as expected. Even when I root out (presumably) every item from my computer and ~/Library folder using AppCleaner and start completely fresh with a new downloaded copy of Opera, the same issue occurs.

Is there anything more I can do, check or delete to try and remedy this issue? All other browsers I've installed (Safari, Firefox, Chromium, Edge) work fine.

Folders I've deleted (to no avail) are:
~/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera
~/Library/Caches/com.operasoftware.Opera
~/Library/Saved Application State/com.operasoftware.Opera.savedState

Operating system: macOS Ventura 13.4.1 thru 13.6, Sonoma 14.0.
Opera version: 98.* thru 103.0

That was the piece I'd been missing. I guess I was too focused on cookies and passwords for that topic to come up in my search results.
