But it appears Opera does not play nice with 8.1 (I'm on 8.1 64bit, Opera 26.0 Stable)<br />
as the system close button (Red X in the top right of your window) does not work.<br />
Last boot, it was all three buttons that were unresponsive (Minimize, Maximize/Restore and Close) despite being enabled.<br />
Then it worked all fine. Then I restarted Opera and now I can't close at all.</p>
<p dir="auto">The computer is a Yoga 2, so I also wonder if the touchscreen has an influence?</p>
<p dir="auto">Anyway, it's not like I actually close the browser that often, but it's just so damn amateurish!</p>

Im now on Windows (10) Technical Preview &amp; been using Opera since. Im not sure what the issue is that you mentioned but Im here to tell you its specific to YOU (and possibly others) since I didnt experience on my PC</p>

I avoid Win8+ whenever possible - but from what I experienced Apps are not really meant to be closed (at least once they are somewhat integrated into the "modern" UI)</p>
