A few months ago, there was a flag that enabled hiding the sidebar automatically. One of the main reasons I just don't leave the sidebar on is because the sidebar also reduces the resolution of the page, making it less pleasing to view. Since its removal, I have stopped using the sidebar because it is inconvenient to either set up a bind to show the sidebar or use the “Easy setup” section to toggle it.

If you could add the option to auto-hide the sidebar (like the Windows taskbar), it would be a very nice feature for people like me who prefer having more screen space for what they are viewing.
